Maritime Security (MARSEC) Level – Level I – Low.
Military installations in Alaska are at FPCON A.

World Health Organization Pandemic Phase - Phase 3: No or very limited human-to-human transmission (An Influenza Pandemic situation report, which contains an explanation of the WHO Pandemic Phases, is attached to this situation report and updated every Tuesday)

Threat Level Changes
No change.

Whittier Tunnel
Normal traffic has resumed through the Whittier Tunnel as of 10AM this morning.  The tunnel closed yesterday morning after its door malfunctioned.

Travel Advisory
Dalton Highway.  Alyeska support crews will be running a 24 hour work operations along the Dalton Highway. Expect work vehicles and crews along the road. Please drive with caution.
Projected dates and locations:
  Oct 29 through Nov 10—Dalton Hwy MP 269 (Pump Station 4) to MP 385.
 Nov 20 through Nov 26—Dalton Hwy MP 380 to Deadhorse.

FEMA-1796-DR -AK (Tanana Basin Flooding)
FEMA/State Public Assistance teams are continuing the process of formulating project worksheets to assist State, Local, and Tribal governments and certain Private Non-Profits with their eligible damages. The Joint FEMA field office remains open in Anchorage until flood damages are assessed and recovery projects are finalized.
