State of Alaska Cyber Security Alert Level: Guarded
World Health Organization Pandemic Phase - Phase 3: No or very limited human-to-human transmission (An Influenza Pandemic situation report, which contains an explanation of the WHO Pandemic Phases, is attached to this situation report and updated every Tuesday)

Threat Level Changes
No change.

Tanana Basin Flooding
The Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management continues damage assessment and recovery efforts for Public and Individual Assistance in the Fairbanks North Star Borough and the City of Nenana. A total of three Disaster Assistance Centers (DAC) have opened to assist individuals affected by the 2008 Tanana Basin Flooding. The DACs will remain open until Aug. 20. Please see the attached incident situation report for details.

A resolution requesting State assistance was received on August 14 from the Denali Borough.  A DHS&EM representative has met with Borough officials to address their needs.
