Homeland Security Advisory System – Alaska Level:  Yellow-Elevated
Maritime Security (MARSEC) Level – Level I – Low.
Military installations in Alaska are at FPCON A.
State of Alaska Cyber Security Alert Level: Guarded
World Health Organization Pandemic Phase - Phase 3: No or very limited human-to-human transmission (An Influenza Pandemic situation report, which contains an explanation of the WHO Pandemic Phases, is attached to this situation report and updated every Tuesday)

Threat Level Changes
No change.

Tanana Basin Flooding
The Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management have Preliminary Damage Assessment teams deployed in the Fairbanks North Star Borough and the City of Nenana. A total of three Disaster Assistance Centers (DAC) have opened to assist individuals affected by the 2008 Tanana Basin Flooding. The DACs will remain open until Aug. 20. Please see the attached incident situation report for details.

Air Quality Advisories and Alerts

Ashfall Advisory
The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued an ashfall advisory for the Eastern Aleutians including Unalaska and Nikolski. The ashfall advisory is now in effect until 12 PM AKDT Thursday. Seismic activity indicates that occasional volcanic ash emissions continue from Okmok Volcano. Ash movement is to the south but will shift to the Southeast tonight.
