World Health Organization Pandemic Phase - Phase 3: No or very limited human-to-human transmission (An Influenza Pandemic situation report, which contains an explanation of the WHO Pandemic Phases, is attached to this situation report and updated every Tuesday)

Rural Alaska Fuel Shortages
DHS&EM Operations continues to monitor fuel status in our western Alaska communities.

Blizzard Warning
The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a blizzard warning which is in effect from 6 pm this evening to 4 pm Friday for the Pribilof Islands including the City of Saint Paul.A strong area of low pressure over the central Aleutians will send a weather front northeast toward the Pribilofs. Winds will steadily increase today with snow developing around late afternoon. By the evening, snowfall and east winds 30 to 40 mph will lead to blizzard conditions. Temperatures are expected to rise to near or just above freezing Friday afternoon with blizzard conditions subsiding.
