Juneau Avalanche

The Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is reviewing the City and Borough's request for assistance regarding 16 April 2008, avalanche.

2008 Riverwatch Program
The DHS&EM Operations section is preparing to launch the 2008 Riverwatch program.  This program monitors the breakup of major rivers in Alaska and warns residents along those rivers of potential flooding from ice jams. The
