State of Alaska Situation
05 Nov Southeast Storm:  DHS&EM teams have completed on-site damage assessments in Juneau, Haines, Angoon and Hoonah.  An assessment team is in Sitka today.  Communities submitting local disaster declarations to date include Juneau and Haines Borough.  Communities in the process of submitting local declarations include Sitka and Pelican.  Impacted communities contacted by DHS&EM include Skagway, Gustavus, Elfin Cove, Tenakee Springs, Port Alexander, Hyder and Klawock.

Winter Storm Warning
The National Weather Service in Fairbanks continues winter storm warning for the Chukchi Sea Coast including Point Hope, Shishmaref, Kivalina and Espenberg.  A winter storm warning remains in effect until 4 pm this afternoon.  Snow and blowing snow with areas of low visibility will continue today along with areas of freezing rain.  Another 2 inches of snow is expected today. Ice accumulation will be less than 1/10 of an inch.

Travel Advisory
A very hazardous driving conditions has occurred between MP202-226, Trims to Delta Maintenance area. Temperatures of 41, rain and snow mix, black ice, freezing rain and high winds is causing frozen runoff on road and ditches in some sections.  Studded tires and/or chains are recommended, road is very slick.  Most hills and corners are sanded.
