State of Alaska Situation
November 2005 Southeast Storm:  The Cities and Boroughs of Juneau, Haines and Sitka have submitted local disaster declarations.  DHS&EM continues to gather damage information from impacted communities and agencies.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center located a moderate earthquake that occurred on Saturday, December 10th at 11:48 PM AKST in the Andreanof Islands region of Alaska.  This earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.3 and was located at a depth of about 11 miles.  This event was felt in Adak.  Distance to nearby locations:  37 miles SSE of Adak and 105 miles WSW of Atka.
