State of Alaska Situation
Winter Storm Warning
The National Weather Service Fairbanks has issued winter storm warning for St Lawrence Island and Bering Strait Coast. The winter storm warning is now in effect until 6 pm Wednesday. Winds gusting to 60 mph will continue through early Wednesday. Visibility will be reduced by blowing snow. Blizzard conditions will be possible this afternoon through Wednesday as snow spreads into the area. Visibility may be reduced to near zero at times this afternoon through Wednesday.

Augustine Volcano
There were approximately 6 events of small explosion-like signals that were recorded on Saturday, 17 Dec. Small explosions can still occur with no warning and could affect low-flying aircraft in the vicinity of the volcano. Augustine remains in color code Yellow and AVO continues to monitor the situation closely.

Diesel Fuel Spill
A diesel fuel spill was reported to ADEC at 4:00pm on 16 December. About 3110 gallons of diesel fuel was released at Richardson Highway, just north of the Tanana River Bridge and approximately 10 miles west of Delta Junction. Diesel was released down 3/10 of a mile of the highway, resulting in the contamination of snow and soils next to the highway. No fuel was observed draining into the Tanana River.

The Iran and Syria-backed Hezbollah militia maintains a cell in the Gaza Strip that directs and finances terror operations against Israelis, including several attacks carried out by a group connected to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, a captured Palestinian terrorist told Israeli interrogators.
